Crazy Quilters Quilt Guild
Guild Activities

Members have different opportunities to express thier love for quilting.

Monthly:

Guild meetings begin at 7p.m. every second wednesday of each month.  Guest speakers or projects are scheduled for the first portion of the meeting.  A small break is enough time to consume some goodies before Show N' Tell begins where many members display their current quilt work or share a quilt related story.

See Monthly Meeting Schedule for full listing.

Charity Quilts:

Members have the opportunity to meet once a month at a designated time and place to make and quilts for non profit organizations.  Birthing Centers, elder care facilities and church organizations are just a few types of places the Crazy Quilters Quilt Guild donates their time and love to "keep the community warm."

Crazy Quilters Quilt Guild
Quilt Show:

Each year the CQQG puts together the largest quilt show in southern wisconsin.  The 2003 quilt show displayed over 350 quilts.  Located at Elkhorn High School, 300 privately owned quilts (wallhangings to king-size) were entered and professionally judged.  The guild also hosted the Milwaukee Art Quilters "Stamp Quilts" and displayed charity quilts.  The 2003 raffle quilt was "Folk Art" and won by a Brookfield, WI resident.  Twenty-six vendors, from across the state and beyond, packed the gynasium full of glorious treasures.  The guild partnered with Elkhorn High School cafeteria to serve a delicious lunch and dessert.

Quilt Show Committee meets every third wednesday at Linden Grove, Hwy NN, Mukwonago, at 7p.m.

Raffle Quilt:

CQQG members are encouraged to participate in the making of the quilt show's raffle quilt.  Over 1-1/2 years, blocks are peiced/appliqued, arranged and created into a marvelous artwork.  The quilt is then hand and machine quilted by volunteers in the guild. The 2004 quilt is "Trees".
